Showtime at the AppDynamics Summit Europe

Showtime at the AppDynamics Summit Europe

Over 1000 attendees waited expectantly, the numbers buoyed by news of the Cisco acquisition of AppDynamics. Loud music, laser lights and flashing display announced the arrival of David Wadhwani, the CEO of AppDynamics; the AppDynamics European Summit 2017 was under way. During the opening keynote we were given a surprisingly technical introduction to the capabilities of AppDynamics along with short videos of customer-success stories. Jim Korchak, MD of Barclays Bank, joined David on stage.

The short break before the break-out sessions gave everyone their first chance to visit the our stand. Application Performance an elite partner of AppDynamics were proud to be one of four headline sponsors of the summit. Here are some of the team in action at the beginning of the day, still looking fresh and eager!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit our stand and hear our story about Nexthink, OverOps, Turbonomic and Ymonitor. Each, in their own way, adds something to the amazing success that is AppDynamics.

It is not physically possible to attend all of the break-out sessions that occurred during the day. I particularly enjoyed Become an AppDynamics Dashboard Rockstar by Andy Jackson. I wonder if open-source superheroes with red eyes will catch on? Probably the most enjoyable part of the day was the closing keynote. Having previously attended AppSphere in Las Vegas I knew what to expect. The AppD Labs didn’t disappoint. The crowd got to vote via clap-o-meter on the best innovative use of AppDynamics monitoring smart shelves in a shop, integrating alerts directly into a developer’s IDE, using a super-charged metric browser from the year 3000 and capturing crashes in a video game. They were all winners of course.

Finally a big thank you to our hosts at AppDynamics for laying on such a well-organised event. We look forward to next year’s event.
